- Faithfulness will be rewarded in heaven [Matthew 25:21]

II. Characteristics of a faithful person
- He/She has right value. [Proverbs 28:20]
- He/She cares for others' interest not just his or her own [Philippians 2:20-22]
- He/She lives a life of integrity before the unbelieving world. [Daniel 6:4(LB)]
- He/She keeps his words [Proverbs 25:14, Psalm 15:4-5(GN)]
- He/She develops spiritual gift [1 Peter 4:10]
- He/She manages his money well [Luke 16:11, 1 Corinthians 16:2 (LB)]
- He/She obey God's command [1 Samuel 2:35 (LB)]

2ND DAY OF SCHOOL!

HOHOHO! Actually wanted to post yesterday but got too many things to do. People keep on trying to vie with me the rank of cutest in west D, sighhed. Please lah, wake up your idea! Can't you see me the PANDA is so famous over the whole singapore now?!! OOPS!

Ohkay lah, i think i'm really crazy liao. People might be thinking ,"So lao le still vie with kids!! CHILDISH!!" LOL! C'mon lah. I'm old in appearance, young in soul ohkay :D HAHAHA!

Hello west D peeps and everyone else!

How have your 1st week of school been going? Mine was quite ohkay lah. Don't forget to ask God join you for study together as well, alright?! Study not for the sake of anything else, but for Him! To glorify His name! Placing Him in the 1st priority in your studies and He will definitely bless you in all ways! Doing His ministry in school is not unglorifying, it's not shameful and it's NOT EMBARRASSING at all!

Never ever think that God's work is shameful because it is NOT!

If you're reading bible, read it not as if you're hiding it or feel shameful to let people see that you're reading a bible UNLESS your school got religion problem lah, HAHA! If you're outreaching to soul, outreach boldly with courage and not hide in one corner, speaking so softly!

ACTS 23-24
1Paul looked straight at the Sanhedrin and said, "My brothers, I have fulfilled my duty to God in all good conscience to this day." 2At this the high priest Ananias ordered those standing near Paul to strike him on the mouth. 3Then Paul said to him, "God will strike you, you whitewashed wall! You sit there to judge me according to the law, yet you yourself violate the law by commanding that I be struck!"

4Those who were standing near Paul said, "You dare to insult God's high priest?"

5Paul replied, "Brothers, I did not realize that he was the high priest; for it is written: 'Do not speak evil about the ruler of your people.'[a]"

6Then Paul, knowing that some of them were Sadducees and the others Pharisees, called out in the Sanhedrin, "My brothers, I am a Pharisee, the son of a Pharisee. I stand on trial because of my hope in the resurrection of the dead." 7When he said this, a dispute broke out between the Pharisees and the Sadducees, and the assembly was divided. 8(The Sadducees say that there is no resurrection, and that there are neither angels nor spirits, but the Pharisees acknowledge them all.)

9There was a great uproar, and some of the teachers of the law who were Pharisees stood up and argued vigorously. "We find nothing wrong with this man," they said. "What if a spirit or an angel has spoken to him?" 10The dispute became so violent that the commander was afraid Paul would be torn to pieces by them. He ordered the troops to go down and take him away from them by force and bring him into the barracks.

11The following night the Lord stood near Paul and said, "Take courage! As you have testified about me in Jerusalem, so you must also testify in Rome."

The Plot to Kill Paul
12The next morning the Jews formed a conspiracy and bound themselves with an oath not to eat or drink until they had killed Paul. 13More than forty men were involved in this plot. 14They went to the chief priests and elders and said, "We have taken a solemn oath not to eat anything until we have killed Paul. 15Now then, you and the Sanhedrin petition the commander to bring him before you on the pretext of wanting more accurate information about his case. We are ready to kill him before he gets here."
16But when the son of Paul's sister heard of this plot, he went into the barracks and told Paul.

17Then Paul called one of the centurions and said, "Take this young man to the commander; he has something to tell him." 18So he took him to the commander.
The centurion said, "Paul, the prisoner, sent for me and asked me to bring this young man to you because he has something to tell you."

19The commander took the young man by the hand, drew him aside and asked, "What is it you want to tell me?"

20He said: "The Jews have agreed to ask you to bring Paul before the Sanhedrin tomorrow on the pretext of wanting more accurate information about him. 21Don't give in to them, because more than forty of them are waiting in ambush for him. They have taken an oath not to eat or drink until they have killed him. They are ready now, waiting for your consent to their request."

22The commander dismissed the young man and cautioned him, "Don't tell anyone that you have reported this to me."

Paul Transferred to Caesarea
23Then he called two of his centurions and ordered them, "Get ready a detachment of two hundred soldiers, seventy horsemen and two hundred spearmen[b] to go to Caesarea at nine tonight. 24Provide mounts for Paul so that he may be taken safely to Governor Felix."
25He wrote a letter as follows: 26Claudius Lysias, To His Excellency, Governor Felix: Greetings. 27This man was seized by the Jews and they were about to kill him, but I came with my troops and rescued him, for I had learned that he is a Roman citizen. 28I wanted to know why they were accusing him, so I brought him to their Sanhedrin. 29I found that the accusation had to do with questions about their law, but there was no charge against him that deserved death or imprisonment. 30When I was informed of a plot to be carried out against the man, I sent him to you at once. I also ordered his accusers to present to you their case against him.

31So the soldiers, carrying out their orders, took Paul with them during the night and brought him as far as Antipatris. 32The next day they let the cavalry go on with him, while they returned to the barracks. 33When the cavalry arrived in Caesarea, they delivered the letter to the governor and handed Paul over to him. 34The governor read the letter and asked what province he was from. Learning that he was from Cilicia, 35he said, "I will hear your case when your accusers get here." Then he ordered that Paul be kept under guard in Herod's palace.

Acts 24
The Trial Before Felix
1Five days later the high priest Ananias went down to Caesarea with some of the elders and a lawyer named Tertullus, and they brought their charges against Paul before the governor. 2When Paul was called in, Tertullus presented his case before Felix: "We have enjoyed a long period of peace under you, and your foresight has brought about reforms in this nation. 3Everywhere and in every way, most excellent Felix, we acknowledge this with profound gratitude. 4But in order not to weary you further, I would request that you be kind enough to hear us briefly.
5"We have found this man to be a troublemaker, stirring up riots among the Jews all over the world. He is a ringleader of the Nazarene sect 6and even tried to desecrate the temple; so we seized him. 8By[c] examining him yourself you will be able to learn the truth about all these charges we are bringing against him."

9The Jews joined in the accusation, asserting that these things were true.

10When the governor motioned for him to speak, Paul replied: "I know that for a number of years you have been a judge over this nation; so I gladly make my defense. 11You can easily verify that no more than twelve days ago I went up to Jerusalem to worship. 12My accusers did not find me arguing with anyone at the temple, or stirring up a crowd in the synagogues or anywhere else in the city. 13And they cannot prove to you the charges they are now making against me. 14However, I admit that I worship the God of our fathers as a follower of the Way, which they call a sect. I believe everything that agrees with the Law and that is written in the Prophets, 15and I have the same hope in God as these men, that there will be a resurrection of both the righteous and the wicked. 16So I strive always to keep my conscience clear before God and man.

17"After an absence of several years, I came to Jerusalem to bring my people gifts for the poor and to present offerings. 18I was ceremonially clean when they found me in the temple courts doing this. There was no crowd with me, nor was I involved in any disturbance. 19But there are some Jews from the province of Asia, who ought to be here before you and bring charges if they have anything against me. 20Or these who are here should state what crime they found in me when I stood before the Sanhedrin— 21unless it was this one thing I shouted as I stood in their presence: 'It is concerning the resurrection of the dead that I am on trial before you today.' "

22Then Felix, who was well acquainted with the Way, adjourned the proceedings. "When Lysias the commander comes," he said, "I will decide your case." 23He ordered the centurion to keep Paul under guard but to give him some freedom and permit his friends to take care of his needs.

24Several days later Felix came with his wife Drusilla, who was a Jewess. He sent for Paul and listened to him as he spoke about faith in Christ Jesus. 25As Paul discoursed on righteousness, self-control and the judgment to come, Felix was afraid and said, "That's enough for now! You may leave. When I find it convenient, I will send for you." 26At the same time he was hoping that Paul would offer him a bribe, so he sent for him frequently and talked with him.

27When two years had passed, Felix was succeeded by Porcius Festus, but because Felix wanted to grant a favor to the Jews, he left Paul in prison.

If you have been doing after- camp devotion, you would have know what persecutions Paul faced when he was testifying for Jesus. Despite being prisoned and persecuted, he still continously request and preached in front of the public till he was put into the barracks. I believe the persecutions that Paul received is much more heavier than us in reality, what more do we have to fear?! Think about it! :D

Ohkay ohkay, jiayou peeeeeeps (: love you guys to the coree!

WELCOME CYNTHIA, DAVID, IVORY AND MICHELLE TO THIS WEST D FAMILY OF GOD!

You're sure not going to miss out all the fun and nonsense we always like to do! Hah! Especially like sabotaging the leaders, well.. i think David is already enjoying himself by mixing up both me and regina.. Let me re-emphasize again. I'm not a bear!!! I'm a panda! Please don't link me up with BEAR!!! Nooooooooooo! :X

Ohman, i'm going to hear people saying, "Panda is also a bear, just a little special.." *faint* Anyway, there's no photo this time!! Uhhhh :/ We'd west harvester after service yesterday and our DL- Dewen modified the toilet promotion game into a 海鲜争霸赛!It was fun lah :D and the winner was GINA from west B!! *clap clap* Hee!

I bet everyone in west D is so happy! Why?! Because WEST D is growing now!! And all of us believes that one day it will exceed the 3 rows of green chairs, AMEN?! woooohooo! Everyone!! Jiayou in retaining the NB!!!! We'll see more souls saved yeah!! :D

Ohyeah, yesterday pastor jeff preached during service!! WOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!! OOps :X He preached about 'THE CHARGE'.

1 Timothy 6:11-16

1) Flee evil and pursue Godly virtues (v11)
2 Peter 2:22, Acts 26:20, Matthew 3:8, Ephesians 4:26, Ephesians 4:2

2) Guard the message of Jesus Christ (v12-13)
John 18:36-37, 1 Corinthians 1:18

3) Remain faithful to the very end [God's love and God's vision] (v14-16)

During west harvester, De wen taught about "Ministry that pleases God". Though quite a lot of people heard before this teaching, even i myself but i really gained a lot of new ideas and insights from this teaching again.

Hebrews 11:6

1) Believing when i don't see it (Hebrews 11:1)
2) Obeying when i don't understand it (Hebrews 11:8)
3) Giving when i don't have it (2 Corinthians 8:2-5)
4) Persisting when i don't feel like it (2 Timothy 4:7)
5) Thanking before i receive it (2 Chronicles 20)
6) Trusting if i don't get it (Hebrews 11:36-39)

One sentence that De wen said hit me the most was , "We are not fighting for victory, we are fighting FROM victory." This means we are already at the victory side! Woah, this really push my faith up high.. Actually i was originally holding a very neutral heart of going back to school, thinking that, "yikes, it's here again, yeap gotta work hard and save more souls!" But after De wen said that, my perspective changed. It's a definite thing that we'll face a lot of persecutions and rejections but we are already at the victory side, why are we so afraid that CG08 can't be completed?! hohoho i'm so filled with conviction.. after yesterday harvester XD

JUNIORS~~~ HERE I COME :X LOL!

Alrightoo! people jiayou ohkay :D
see you soon......... MISS LOTSA x33

He chose us..
and placed us here, in jurong west...

Acts 7-8

Acts 7
Stephen's Speech to the Sanhedrin
1Then the high priest asked him, "Are these charges true?"
2To this he replied: "Brothers and fathers, listen to me! The God of glory appeared to our father Abraham while he was still in Mesopotamia, before he lived in Haran. 3'Leave your country and your people,' God said, 'and go to the land I will show you.'[a]

4"So he left the land of the Chaldeans and settled in Haran. After the death of his father, God sent him to this land where you are now living. 5He gave him no inheritance here, not even a foot of ground. But God promised him that he and his descendants after him would possess the land, even though at that time Abraham had no child. 6God spoke to him in this way: 'Your descendants will be strangers in a country not their own, and they will be enslaved and mistreated four hundred years. 7But I will punish the nation they serve as slaves,' God said, 'and afterward they will come out of that country and worship me in this place.'[b] 8Then he gave Abraham the covenant of circumcision. And Abraham became the father of Isaac and circumcised him eight days after his birth. Later Isaac became the father of Jacob, and Jacob became the father of the twelve patriarchs.

9"Because the patriarchs were jealous of Joseph, they sold him as a slave into Egypt. But God was with him 10and rescued him from all his troubles. He gave Joseph wisdom and enabled him to gain the goodwill of Pharaoh king of Egypt; so he made him ruler over Egypt and all his palace.

11"Then a famine struck all Egypt and Canaan, bringing great suffering, and our fathers could not find food. 12When Jacob heard that there was grain in Egypt, he sent our fathers on their first visit. 13On their second visit, Joseph told his brothers who he was, and Pharaoh learned about Joseph's family. 14After this, Joseph sent for his father Jacob and his whole family, seventy-five in all. 15Then Jacob went down to Egypt, where he and our fathers died. 16Their bodies were brought back to Shechem and placed in the tomb that Abraham had bought from the sons of Hamor at Shechem for a certain sum of money.

17"As the time drew near for God to fulfill his promise to Abraham, the number of our people in Egypt greatly increased. 18Then another king, who knew nothing about Joseph, became ruler of Egypt. 19He dealt treacherously with our people and oppressed our forefathers by forcing them to throw out their newborn babies so that they would die.

20"At that time Moses was born, and he was no ordinary child.[c]For three months he was cared for in his father's house. 21When he was placed outside, Pharaoh's daughter took him and brought him up as her own son. 22Moses was educated in all the wisdom of the Egyptians and was powerful in speech and action.

23"When Moses was forty years old, he decided to visit his fellow Israelites. 24He saw one of them being mistreated by an Egyptian, so he went to his defense and avenged him by killing the Egyptian. 25Moses thought that his own people would realize that God was using him to rescue them, but they did not. 26The next day Moses came upon two Israelites who were fighting. He tried to reconcile them by saying, 'Men, you are brothers; why do you want to hurt each other?'

27"But the man who was mistreating the other pushed Moses aside and said, 'Who made you ruler and judge over us? 28Do you want to kill me as you killed the Egyptian yesterday?'[d] 29When Moses heard this, he fled to Midian, where he settled as a foreigner and had two sons.

30"After forty years had passed, an angel appeared to Moses in the flames of a burning bush in the desert near Mount Sinai. 31When he saw this, he was amazed at the sight. As he went over to look more closely, he heard the Lord's voice: 32'I am the God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.'[e] Moses trembled with fear and did not dare to look.

33"Then the Lord said to him, 'Take off your sandals; the place where you are standing is holy ground. 34I have indeed seen the oppression of my people in Egypt. I have heard their groaning and have come down to set them free. Now come, I will send you back to Egypt.'[f]

35"This is the same Moses whom they had rejected with the words, 'Who made you ruler and judge?' He was sent to be their ruler and deliverer by God himself, through the angel who appeared to him in the bush. 36He led them out of Egypt and did wonders and miraculous signs in Egypt, at the Red Sea[g] and for forty years in the desert.

37"This is that Moses who told the Israelites, 'God will send you a prophet like me from your own people.'[h] 38He was in the assembly in the desert, with the angel who spoke to him on Mount Sinai, and with our fathers; and he received living words to pass on to us.

39"But our fathers refused to obey him. Instead, they rejected him and in their hearts turned back to Egypt. 40They told Aaron, 'Make us gods who will go before us. As for this fellow Moses who led us out of Egypt—we don't know what has happened to him!'[i] 41That was the time they made an idol in the form of a calf. They brought sacrifices to it and held a celebration in honor of what their hands had made. 42But God turned away and gave them over to the worship of the heavenly bodies. This agrees with what is written in the book of the prophets:
" 'Did you bring me sacrifices and offerings
forty years in the desert, O house of Israel?
43You have lifted up the shrine of Molech
and the star of your god Rephan,
the idols you made to worship.
Therefore I will send you into exile'[j] beyond Babylon.

44"Our forefathers had the tabernacle of the Testimony with them in the desert. It had been made as God directed Moses, according to the pattern he had seen. 45Having received the tabernacle, our fathers under Joshua brought it with them when they took the land from the nations God drove out before them. It remained in the land until the time of David, 46who enjoyed God's favor and asked that he might provide a dwelling place for the God of Jacob.[k] 47But it was Solomon who built the house for him.

48"However, the Most High does not live in houses made by men. As the prophet says:
49" 'Heaven is my throne,
and the earth is my footstool.
What kind of house will you build for me? says the Lord.
Or where will my resting place be?
50Has not my hand made all these things?'[l]

51"You stiff-necked people, with uncircumcised hearts and ears! You are just like your fathers: You always resist the Holy Spirit! 52Was there ever a prophet your fathers did not persecute? They even killed those who predicted the coming of the Righteous One. And now you have betrayed and murdered him— 53you who have received the law that was put into effect through angels but have not obeyed it."

The Stoning of Stephen
54When they heard this, they were furious and gnashed their teeth at him. 55But Stephen, full of the Holy Spirit, looked up to heaven and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing at the right hand of God. 56"Look," he said, "I see heaven open and the Son of Man standing at the right hand of God."
57At this they covered their ears and, yelling at the top of their voices, they all rushed at him, 58dragged him out of the city and began to stone him. Meanwhile, the witnesses laid their clothes at the feet of a young man named Saul.

59While they were stoning him, Stephen prayed, "Lord Jesus, receive my spirit." 60Then he fell on his knees and cried out, "Lord, do not hold this sin against them." When he had said this, he fell asleep.

Acts 8
1And Saul was there, giving approval to his death.

The Church Persecuted and Scattered
On that day a great persecution broke out against the church at Jerusalem, and all except the apostles were scattered throughout Judea and Samaria. 2Godly men buried Stephen and mourned deeply for him. 3But Saul began to destroy the church. Going from house to house, he dragged off men and women and put them in prison.
Philip in Samaria
4Those who had been scattered preached the word wherever they went. 5Philip went down to a city in Samaria and proclaimed the Christ[m]there. 6When the crowds heard Philip and saw the miraculous signs he did, they all paid close attention to what he said. 7With shrieks, evil[n] spirits came out of many, and many paralytics and cripples were healed. 8So there was great joy in that city.
Simon the Sorcerer
9Now for some time a man named Simon had practiced sorcery in the city and amazed all the people of Samaria. He boasted that he was someone great, 10and all the people, both high and low, gave him their attention and exclaimed, "This man is the divine power known as the Great Power." 11They followed him because he had amazed them for a long time with his magic. 12But when they believed Philip as he preached the good news of the kingdom of God and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women. 13Simon himself believed and was baptized. And he followed Philip everywhere, astonished by the great signs and miracles he saw.
14When the apostles in Jerusalem heard that Samaria had accepted the word of God, they sent Peter and John to them. 15When they arrived, they prayed for them that they might receive the Holy Spirit, 16because the Holy Spirit had not yet come upon any of them; they had simply been baptized into[o] the name of the Lord Jesus. 17Then Peter and John placed their hands on them, and they received the Holy Spirit.

18When Simon saw that the Spirit was given at the laying on of the apostles' hands, he offered them money 19and said, "Give me also this ability so that everyone on whom I lay my hands may receive the Holy Spirit."

20Peter answered: "May your money perish with you, because you thought you could buy the gift of God with money! 21You have no part or share in this ministry, because your heart is not right before God. 22Repent of this wickedness and pray to the Lord. Perhaps he will forgive you for having such a thought in your heart. 23For I see that you are full of bitterness and captive to sin."

24Then Simon answered, "Pray to the Lord for me so that nothing you have said may happen to me."

25When they had testified and proclaimed the word of the Lord, Peter and John returned to Jerusalem, preaching the gospel in many Samaritan villages.

Philip and the Ethiopian
26Now an angel of the Lord said to Philip, "Go south to the road—the desert road—that goes down from Jerusalem to Gaza." 27So he started out, and on his way he met an Ethiopian[p]eunuch, an important official in charge of all the treasury of Candace, queen of the Ethiopians. This man had gone to Jerusalem to worship, 28and on his way home was sitting in his chariot reading the book of Isaiah the prophet. 29The Spirit told Philip, "Go to that chariot and stay near it."
30Then Philip ran up to the chariot and heard the man reading Isaiah the prophet. "Do you understand what you are reading?" Philip asked.

31"How can I," he said, "unless someone explains it to me?" So he invited Philip to come up and sit with him.

32The eunuch was reading this passage of Scripture:
"He was led like a sheep to the slaughter,
and as a lamb before the shearer is silent,
so he did not open his mouth.
33In his humiliation he was deprived of justice.
Who can speak of his descendants?
For his life was taken from the earth."[q]

34The eunuch asked Philip, "Tell me, please, who is the prophet talking about, himself or someone else?" 35Then Philip began with that very passage of Scripture and told him the good news about Jesus.

36As they traveled along the road, they came to some water and the eunuch said, "Look, here is water. Why shouldn't I be baptized?"[r] 38And he gave orders to stop the chariot. Then both Philip and the eunuch went down into the water and Philip baptized him. 39When they came up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord suddenly took Philip away, and the eunuch did not see him again, but went on his way rejoicing. 40Philip, however, appeared at Azotus and traveled about, preaching the gospel in all the towns until he reached Caesarea.

Acts 1:9-10
After he said this, he was taken up before their very eyes, and a cloud hid him from their sight. They were looking intently up into the sky as he was going, when suddenly two men dressed in white stood beside them.

Acts 1:20-22
"For," said Peter, "it is written in the book of Psalms,
" 'May his place be deserted;
let there be no one to dwell in it,' and,
" 'May another take his place of leadership.'Therefore it is necessary to choose one of the men who have been with us the whole time the Lord Jesus went in and out among us, beginning from John's baptism to the time when Jesus was taken up from us. For one of these must become a witness with us of his resurrection."

Observation
Do you see any similarities in the lives of Moses and Joseph?
How do you think God gave them wisdom?
What do you think was the purpose of God making Joseph the ruler and letting Moses be taken care of by Pharaoh's daughter?

Appliction
What do you think is God's purpose in putting you through the things you are going through?

I've no idea what did God spoke to you if you'd finished your devotion and QT, but God assured me greatly through this devotion. He said,"Yes daughter, I'd chose you out of many people. I chose you because you're special in My heart." Yes, each of us is made differently, and is special in God's heart. Why do we fear that we can't do the best? Why do we doubt our ability when God was the one who chose you to do this? When He choose you, He definitely will be there guiding you as well. He's the Almighty, the only One we should fear of. Nothing else can be compared.

"Why are you feeling insecure when I am here with you?" He told me. This question struck me a lot. The results and everything else that's going through in our life is already within His control, and He know how we should go, why should i feel insecure when He's guiding me!?

Hohoho people! Jiayou in your devotion, QT and personal time with God ohkay :D Don't pangseh Him!! Heehee. Let me share with you one testimony from our sister, SHANNON! Erm, actually is her older sister lah (: Ohyah! Her sister is from Hope brisbane :D

=Joyce= says:

i've also got something really exciting to share.. I went to moreton bay yesterday with 2 friends. We were having lunch at a fish and chip shop then veon went to the toilet. On her way back she met a girl who was looking for her lost dog. Veon said she didn't see any dog..then continued on her way back to meet us then after lunch the 3 of us continued walking along the beach doing notations and taking photos then we met the girl again..this time 3 of us met her then i had that prompting to take down her contact number. I felt was kinda weird for me to do since we were only going to be there for awhile..and we're not living in the area but i got her contact anyway. Then we continued doing our stuff..we drove to afew other sites in the vicinity to look at the coast and we also continued praying for the girl and her dog along the way then there came a time..probably 50mins after we met the girl..that we decided to drive back to Brisbane already. Then just when we were leaving, a dog ran past the front of our car. We thought it was the lost dog..coz it sorta fitted the description of the dog. We drove and followed it..trying to call its name but it only glanced at us and continued running then it ran to one of the houses and sat on the porch so we thought the dog belongs to that house and we were gonna drive off already..but then just so happen a high school boy walked home from sch and that was his house..he saw the dog there..and he saw us looking at the dog then he asked us if it was ours. We immediately called the girl and her mum drove her over to have a look when they pulled over..could hear the girl proclaim "that's her!" And she rushed out of the car calling the dog's name..then kneel on the ground with open arms while the dog excitedly ran to her owner

wah..the expression on the girl's face..really touching
was a mixture of worry, such relief and joy
and she was almost gonna cry too
we found out that they were Christians too..and started chatting
and exchanged contacts
but it's just amazing..how God still managed to use us even though we're so far from Brisbane
and when i actually saw the scene where the girl flung her arms open to welcome the dog back
Holy Spirit just reminded me how we're like that dog too
He made rules and principles aka fences to surround us..to protect us
but we..being curious, rebellious and adventurous..dig under that fence and escape
at first we feel happy..enjoying everything that's out there..but after that we get tired, lost, bruised, battered
then we try to find our way back
but can't seem to find..
and all the while God has been running after us, searching for us
He sends pple to search for us and guide us back to Him
but we, like that dog, often just glance at those pple and continue on our own way
but finally, by God's grace, we find Him again
and we might fear what kind of punishment we're gonna get from him
but He just kneels down, open His arms wide to welcome us home..with such joy and relief on His face..probably even tears streaming down His face
and Him saying "where've you been? I've been searching all over for you! Come..let's go home"
may this story just spread like fire and bless many many pple..
it's so exciting when God speaks to us hey? So excited!

Amen! Hallelujah! Very touching and cool, right?! Hahah!

Especially PRAISE & WORSHIP eh! We wanted so so so much! Hah! We jumped, clapped, shouted, screamed and praised like crazy! We worshipped with all our hearts, we teared with joy..

There's no doubt that we enjoy this camp so much! Though this time round it's at downtown east chalet with so many people walking aroundd, but we really enjoyed this camp eh.

Well.. the only negative thing is.. quite a lot of west d peeps all fell sick. Some lacked of sleep and that's very bad. So i guess we need to give ourselves a sleeping time schedule for the next camp. HAH!

ALRIGHT! There's this video that west d1 had been talking about. It's a very very short video clip of 1 minutes plus with photos and words. Here you go!

CLICK -HERE-

Yeah, camp is over. Reality is back. No more dreaming, no more imagining that we were still in heaven. This is reality, and we need to face it. God don't appear only at downtown east or any camp, in fact He's just beside you right now. It's not only in camp then we can search for the Holy Spirit high and low. It's not only in camp then we can really be renewed. It's everywhere, we have the chance to be renewed if we want to. If you are very convicted in your vision and desire, then go for it. If you don't, what for at the start of the day get so convicted? Isn't this stupid? So don't waste your conviction and your vision away! God wants and ordered you to complete this 4 schools, then GO and DO it! :D

THE LINK OF MAN & GOD ((:

An atheist professor of philosophy speaks to his class on the problem Science has with God, The Almighty. He asks one of his new students to stand

Prof: So you believe in God?
Student: Absolutely, sir.
Prof: Is God good?
Student: Sure.
Prof: Is God all-powerful?
Student: Yes.
Prof: My brother died of cancer even though he prayed to God to heal him. Most of us would attempt to help others who are ill. But God didn't. How is this God good then? Hmm?
(Student is silent.)
Prof: You can't answer, can you? Let's start again, young fellow. Is God good?
Student: Yes.
Prof: Is Satan good?
Student: No.
Prof: Where does Satan come from?
Student: From...God?
Prof: That's right. Tell me son, is there evil in this world?
Student: Yes.
Prof: Evil is everywhere, isn't it? And God did make everything. Correct?
Student: Yes.
Prof: So who created evil?
(Student does not answer.)
Prof: Is there sickness? Immorality? Hatred? Ugliness? All these terrible things exist in the world, don't they?
Student: Yes, sir.
Prof: So, who created them?
(Student has no answer.)
Prof: Science says you have 5 senses you use to identify and observe the world around you. Tell me, son...Have you ever seen God?
Student: No, sir.
Prof: Tell us if you have ever heard your God?
Student: No, sir.
Prof: Have you ever felt your God, tasted your God, smelt your God? Have you ever had any sensory perception of God for that matter?
Student: No, sir. I'm afraid I haven't.
Prof: Yet you still believe in Him?
Student: Yes.
Prof: According to empirical, testable, demonstrable protocol, science says your GOD doesn't exist. What do you say to that, son?
Student: Nothing. I only have my faith.
Prof: Yes. Faith. And that is the problem science has.
Student: Professor, is there such a thing as heat?
Prof: Yes.
Student: And is there such a thing as cold?
Prof: Yes.
Student: No sir. There isn't.
(The lecture theatre becomes very quiet with this turn of events.)
Student: Sir, you can have lots of heat, even more heat, superheat, mega heat, white heat, a little heat or no heat. But we don't have anything called cold. We can hit 458 degrees below zero which is no heat, but we can't go any further after that. There is no such thing as cold. Cold is only a word we use to describe the absence of heat. We cannot measure cold. Heat is energy. Cold is not the opposite of heat, sir, just the absence of it.

(There is pin-drop silence in the lecture theatre.)
Student: What about darkness, Professor? Is there such a thing as darkness?
Prof: Yes. What is night if there isn't darkness?
Student: You're wrong again, sir. Darkness is the absence of something. You can have low light, normal light, bright light, flashing light. But if you have no light constantly, you have nothing and its called darkness, isn't it? In reality, darkness isn't. If it were you would be able to make darkness darker, wouldn't you?
Prof: So what is the point you are making, young man?
Student: Sir, my point is your philosophical premise is flawed.
Prof: Flawed? Can you explain how?
Student: Sir, you are working on the premise of duality. You argue there is life and then there is death, a good God and a bad God. You are viewing the concept of God as something finite, something we can measure. Sir, science can't even explain a thought. It uses electricity and magnetism, but has never seen, much less fully understood either one. To view death as the opposite of life is to be ignorant of the fact that death cannot exist as a substantive thing. Death is not the opposite of life: just the absence of it. Now tell me, Professor. Do you teach your students that they evolved from a monkey?
Prof: If you are referring to the natural evolutionary process, yes, of course, I do.
Student: Have you ever observed evolution with your own eyes, sir?
(The Professor shakes his head with a smile, beginning to realize where the argument is going.)
Student: Since no one has ever observed the process of evolution at work and cannot even prove that this process is an on-going endeavour, are you not teaching your opinion, sir? Are you not a scientist but a preacher?
(The class is in uproar.)
Student: Is there anyone in the class who has ever seen the Professor's brain?
(The class breaks out into laughter.)
Student: Is there anyone here who has ever heard the Professor's brain, felt it, touched or smelt it? No one appears to have done so. So, according to the established rules of empirical, stable, demonstrable protocol, science says that you have no brain, sir. With all due respect, sir, how do we then trust your lectures, sir?

(The room is silent. The professor stares at the student, his face unfathomable. )
Prof: I guess you'll have to take them on faith, son.
Student: That is it sir... The link between man & god is FAITH. That is all that keeps things moving & alive.

Nice argument :D

YAY MAN PEEEPS!

What is your worth?

What is your worth?

A well-known speaker started off his seminar by holding up a $20.00bill

In the room of 200, he asked, 'Who would like this $20 bill?'

Hands started going up.

He said, 'I am going to give this$20 to one of you but first, let me do this.

He proceeded to crumple up the $20 bill .

He then asked, 'Who still wants it?'

Still the hands were up in the air.

Well, he replied, 'What if I do this?'

And he dropped it on the ground and started to grind it into the floor with his shoe.He picked it up, now crumpled and dirty.'Now, who still wants it?'Still the hands went into the air.

My friends, we have all learned a very valuable lesson.

No matter what I did to the money, you still wanted it because it did not decrease in value.

It was still worth $20.

Many times in our lives,we are dropped, crumpled, and ground into the dirt by the decisions we make and the circumstances that come our way.

We feel as though we are worthless.

But no matter what has happened or what will happen, you will never lose your value.

Dirty or clean, crumpled or finely creased, you are still priceless to GOD.

The worth of our lives comes not in what we do or who we know, but by WHO WE ARE and WHOSE WE ARE.

You are special to God -Don't EVER forget it.'

Tomorrow is last day of WFL!!!!!!
Let's meet 1.45PM at same time same place, BLCS!

Today's camp devotion is:

INFLUENCE

Influence is often talked about but misunderstood. Some people think it is hard to obtain and exclusive to leaders. Well, i think otherwise.

You yawn, someone yawns; you have influenced someone. You go to the toilet, someone tags along; you have led someone. You ask your friends to skip classes together with you, they say yes; you have started a rebellion.

Influence is powerful and everyone has influence at different levels. Some people influence individuals, some people merely influence their close friends. Some influence an entire class, or even their siblings. The question at hand is not whether we have influence but who we can influence and if we are indeed influencing them. This is because influence is responsibility.

Let's take for example that you receive a stroke of cane for every sin. When you influence 50 people and you lead them into sin, even just a single sin, shouldn't you get 50 strokes of the cane? Pretty serious? Of course, this works both ways. When you lead them to a closer walk with god, you get 50 times reward and blessings. We are called to be faithful with our influence, whether is it 1,5,10 or 50.

Luke 12:48b
48But the one who does not know and does things deserving punishment will be beaten with few blows. From everyone who has been given much, much will be demanded; and from the one who has been entrusted with much, much more will be asked.

Before we ask for influence, we should understand the benefits that come with it and the responsiblities that it entails. And yet even with that knowledge, still boldly ask for more influence to bring people to God. We do so because we value the eternity of our friend more than our own comfort. We do so because we are responsible to share the good news we have already heard. People who understand fulfill their responsiblities are mature people; people who are irresponsible are immature.

Leadership is influence.
Influence is resonsibility.
Responsibility is maturity.

Currently, who are we influencing?
Have we been faithful in leading them to God continually?

Yeah, so what did you learned from God through this devotion today? Hmm. God told me this: To be influential, you must also have the right tool of influencing. Pretty chim eh? Hah. If you don't understand, it's ohkay. If you do, good for you :D

Dear God, OASIS camp is coming real soon in just a few days' time. Although it's only left with a few days, but many things could happen. I pray that these few days we'll be protected by You from all kind of illnesses because we want to keep our temple of Yours to be healthy and ready for camp. Also, OASIS camp is a camp whereby we're going to be refreshed and renewed! So let all of our hearts be prepared to receive from You. Of course, let us all be expecting from You to do something that will touch and move our life! Yes!! Life transformation in our life, O God!! Although in this holiday, we seem to be going out every single day and going home late because of our ministry, we're not going to give up or even give in to SATAN(!!) because we know that You will make a way for us! God, i pray that all those people who are facing problems with their parents will be blessed by You! Help them to get out of the problem! And one fine day, their parents will understand that we're not going out and waste our time unpurposefully but rather, we're going out to spread the good news, to do ministry, and also, to be a good ambassador in the future!! So God!! Really, help, lead and guide us in everything we does! Father, 2 of your precious children(Huichuen and Jarren) is now currently facing problems in coming to camp. Both financially and Jarren with parental objection. You know their desire and hearts that yearn to go for this camp to be refreshed. Don't let them miss out this chance to have a closer relationsip time with You! I pray that as You see their eager hearts to spend time with You in camp, You will let them overcome all these problems they are facing now! Soften down their parents' heart, and allow them to come for this camp!! With faith, I commit all these into Your mighty hands! In Jesus' precious name i pray, AMEN

SEE YOU GUYS PEEEP!!! ADIOS! :D
