A VERY LATE POST - HEROES CAMP

oopsie, i'm super sorry for not updating right after camp because i was like super freakin` tired (i bet everyone all very seh liao~) but well anyway, here it is! We'd a great 4 days 3 night camp at SSS. I think God really assured all of us a lot about the harvests that are coming real soon yeah?

Tho all of us were struggling really hard and chionging to see fruits coming in, but there wasn't any. However, God told us in this camp that He's going to pour us fruits real soon!!! God really spoke to us a lot thru this camp yeaps?

Well well well, did you guys met your camp objectives? I met all my 4 at the 2nd night and the following night, God showed me more about my camp objectives. Woah woah woah, love God to tha core yeahh :D Anyway, lemme share my learning bah! :D

1st teaching by Pastor Shirley:
Moses' humility was being taught to us. Like us, he was just an ordinary person that God had chosen to use. Always to check and examine your life and be reminded that, is it you who gain the glory or God? Accept His grace & rise up yourself! Know tht He will gives you a period of testing to prepare yourself to receive the command from God. This few are my learning/application points [: We really have to recognise the small and little bit of sins that we'd instead of living in self-denial. Tho sometimes we may feel tht it's nth but every single small thing does make an impact in everyone life ya see.

2nd teaching by Dennis & Daniel:
David, who was just a shepherd, was being used to win over people who were many times bigger than him in size. Same goes for ourselves. Aren't we people who have not much strength? Don't we feel tht we're just a small singaporean in this small country? We can do nth much like making peace with people who are unhappy with one another. We can't do much, yeah? BUT, God still chooses to use us, to do His work, to bring love to everyone and to spread His gospel. However, if He chooses to use us, are we going to be loyal to Him? I'm super impacted by the point tht says expressing your loyalty in encouraging one another to grow in Godliness. As in, put your friends' spiritual life about their comfort life. This is so cool luh! Tho we may need to be sacrificial, but let's be sacrificial in a way tht they grow & we grow too! :D

3rd teaching by Pastor Jeff:
Abraham, like us was once a sinner. He was once a sinful man, but because by God's grace, God still chooses to use him and tht was how Abraham became a man of faith. God spoke to me thru this teaching in a way tht's very er, sound very, hmm, "demanding"? the way it sounded lah. B`cos it was like, "Go! Take your role and chiong! Don't ask!" & there was this verse Genesis 12:1-3 talking about Abraham leaving everything behind tht he was once comforted in to step into an area where he had no idea what his future will be like. If we always stay and do things in our comfort zone, do things to our own satisfaction, do things only b`cos it benefit or pleases us and not out of commandment by God, then you'll never do anything big in life. So let's get out of the comforted or things tht we find it easier for us to do and chiong for the things that we find it hard to do b`cos God will guide us along!

4th teaching by Torche:
Esther, a woman of great courage. She did not rely just on her own strength. She asked everyone to pray and fast, and together with God, she appeared infront of the king with great courage. I mean, come to think of it, the risk she's facing is DEATH. And everytime when we are doing evangelism in schools or shopping malls, the only risk we're facing is being blacklisted. Or maybe just being rejected by people who don't wanna do.. or maybe afraid tht parents will come up to us? That's the few risks, of course, with many more that we face. But, if God really places this responsibility up to your hand, will He not protect you and deliver you out of all this? Like what Esther said, "If i perish, i perish." Are you going to have that courage like her?

5th teaching by Pastor shirley:
Paul- Ambition. Paul didn't got the ambition out of nowhere. He didn't came up with his ambition on his own. I mean, it's so different from the way he was. If originally you're a person who study all about science and is told to start a business, i mean, if that's me, i will definitely say SIAO. &tht's what paul did luh. From someone who burned churches, who persecuted all christian to a person who evangelised and did many great stuff for God. I mean, in this kingdom of God, there isn't such thing as i'm either staying here and not going to move anymore or i'll just take a look and wander around. It's about moving on to another level and you need tht- AMBITIONS!! MOVE, MOVE, MOVEEEE!!
